If you're hurting, you're in a hurry, so I'll get straight to the point...

When I wrote the first edition of The Hacker's Nightmare™ way back in 2003, my aim was to show PC owners how to protect their computers from the thuggery of the Internet, without spending a fortune on technicians and consultants.

In a relatively short time The Hacker's Nightmare™ became the standard security reference for ordinary computer users—by which I mean non-experts, non-techies, just your average everyday computer user.

I have continued to edit and expand The Hacker's Nightmare™ ever since, until now there is no other publication on the planet that can challenge it for quality or for depth and breadth of coverage.

But there was something missing...

As good as The Hacker's Nightmare™ was at showing people how to secure their computers and Internet connections, I had missed the needs of an important group of people.

I wasn't fully accounting for those people—probably people just like you—who came to the book looking to solve existing problems, as opposed to protecting a PC from suffering those problems in the first place.

While The Hacker's Nightmare™ did contain all the information needed to clean up a PC already compromised by malware or attack, that information wasn't provided in a step by step, "let's get clean first" format. The book's contents were more attuned to prevention than to correction.

I needed to do something about that...

Towards the end of 2006 I devised and put to paper what is now called "Seven Steps to a Clean PC". It's a step-by-step treatment that starts out with one assumption:

...that there is something wrong with your PC that could
be attributed to malware or intrusion or malfunction
with the Operating System or installed software.

Originally I intended that document would become the new first chapter of The Hacker's Nightmare™, so readers could get their computers cleaned up and working properly before moving on to the critical task of protecting from future attacks.

Then I had a brain-wave!

I would take the 7-Steps idea one step further...

You see, I'm acutely aware of all the hype and crap and false promises that crisscross the 'Net like wildfire. It's getting harder by the day to have faith in anything you read. It's as if marketers on the Internet are competing with politicians to see whose promises have the least value!

I also know that a lot of people searching for a solution to PC problems will find The Hacker's Nightmare™ website but, having never heard of me, they will ask themselves—as they should—"Why should I trust this guy?"

So I decided to offer a much cheaper solution than the full-blown eBook The Hacker's Nightmare™—a solution that focuses ONLY on my proven cleanup and recovery process.

And also...
